WRITING WORKSHOPS
A special thanks goes out to all our workshop participants that came together on ZOOM in June-October.
Maine is a mecca of water. Our landscape reflects who we are. I hope you are as excited as we are about the stories you wrote about the photographic art we supplied for your inspiration based on our connection to water. The workshops, although socially distant via ZOOM, were a great success.
Your dedication and diligence, honing your art, really was inspiring. Your stories are full of insights, humor and wit while really speaking emotionally to our connection to water.
Stay tuned for the announcement about the contest we are opening up to new unknown writers to partake in the experience of writing short stories as you have done!!
We are extremely thankful to the Maine Humanities Council and the National Endowment for the Humanities for a CARES grant which made this project possible.
The resulting stories from will be compiled into a book: Maine: Our Deep Connection to Water.
March 1, 2020
Scheduled workshops for 2020 – now by ZOOM because of COVID-19
The writing workshops secluded for March – April will be hosted on Zoom. We look forward to returning to hosting them, in person, after the pandemic.
PHOTOGRAPHIC WORKSHOP
Our photographic workshop scheduled for March 8 – May 1, 2020 has been postponed, as it required trips in the area to learn about perspective, different lenses and lighting as well as to practice photographic techniques.
If you haven’t received your refund for the class yet, please let us know. We are looking forward to hosting this workshop in the near future.
